On Thursday, US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said that the United States is considering imposing new restrictions on Russia.
"The option to impose new sanctions on Russia remains open," she said at a briefing.
Bruce added that the issue of lifting Washington's previously imposed sanctions against Russia is also not under consideration.
